Dress Up Days

This week we have been having fun with our dress up days.  Here are pictures of our first 2 days! Pajama day and mismatch day!

Apple Jacks Apple Orchard

We had a great time at Apple Jacks apple orchard.  First we went to learn about pollination and what happens to the apple trees throughout the year.

Then we went on a tractor ride and toured the orchard.

Next we got to play and have some fun!

And last we had a little taste testing. Yum!

SMART room

All of our K kids in Becker get to visit the SMART room each day.  The SMART is designed to work on gross and fine motor skills and prepare our students to learn.  Here are a few pictures of what we are doing in the SMART room right now!

We reached our goal!

We are working on reading to ourself during our Daily 5 time.  Our goal was to read for 15 minutes independently, reading the whole time.  We met our goal on Thursday by reading for 15 minutes!  You can support their read to self time by sending in books from home.  They can bring them in as needed and take them home as needed.  Here is a picture of our success!

Friday Math

We started part of our daily routine on Friday by learning about pattern blocks.  These blocks will be used throughout the year for various reasons, but today we talked about the shapes and had some exploring time. Here are some of the designs we made!
